I remember seeing one somewhere that had an adapter for the ipod, a click wheel type device that could be mounted to the steering wheel for navigating the menu, and a screen that you could mount on the dashboard. (it would look exactly like the ipod screen). I don%26#039;t remember the name, but I like this one because you can still control it easily without even touching your ipod. If anyone knows what product I am talking about, please post an answer. Again, I am NOT looking for an fm transmitter that you just plug in to the ipod and throw on the floor of your car - I am looking for one that has a screen and click wheel you can mount onto your dash/ steering wheel. thanks in advance!

Car stereo interference?
I have a mitsi lancer and i just recently had the alarm and immobiliser un-installed.Since then my stereo has been picking up noise and i cant find the source. i have an amp and a couple of subs in the boot but after isolating them the noise still comes through the car speakers. it is not loud but you can notice it when the volume is low or if a cd is paused. i checked all the wireing and nothing seems to have been changed so i think the sound is deffiently comming from the head unit. so far i have an idea it has something to do with the ignition as when you turn the key on (without starting the car) the noise starts. if i listen closely i can hear a faint pulse coming from the subs and when i turn the key off the subs pop faintly as if there is a spike going into the amp.could this have sometning to do with the immobiliser being removed?it looks as if there may have been a relay put in,is this possible? the noise is deffiently comming thru the head unit. any suggestions? thanks!

sounds to me like you have computer generated noise.
take the car back to your installer and have him install a noise filter.

Face plate on cd player stolen out of car, what do i do?
Some loser didnt have enought time to steal the cd player out of my car but took the faceplate. What do I do? Anybody have advise?

Unfortunately, you%26#039;ll have to replace the entire unit. As you know, the H/U is useless without the face and very few places will sell just the face. You might try Ebay and see if someone is selling a face that matches.

Do they make a plug to put on speaker wire to make it easier to take my subwoofers out of my car at night?
My subs just got stolen a week ago and I went and bought the same ones again because they were on clearance and i want to start taking them out at night so i was wondering if there was a plug that could be put in the middle of the wire so it could be easily unhooked, does anyone know if such a thing exists?

Go to Radio Shack. Tell them what you want to do. They should have all the parts/pieces there to put a connector into your speaker wires. Then you can disconnect and remove them.
