Car systems?

i noticed in my car that the cd player%26#039;s dB is different from that of the speaker. How are these two related? and should there be one that is higher than the other or should they be similar?

The cd palyer says: noise voltage range (96 dB)

The speakers say: sensitivity (87 dB)
Car systems?
the cd player is basically telling you how high the dB can go with those speakers. and i think the speakers saying 87 dB is how high it is right now
Car systems?
The DB rating of a speakers is just a rating of it%26#039;s efficiency.

1Watt of power applied, and the output is measured at 3m, So in other words it produces 87db with 1W of power measured at 3m.

You don%26#039;t need to match anything up.
