What does it mean wired series?

what other ways can you wire dc voltage
What does it mean wired series?
Series and parallel.

Series means wired one AFTER the other.

Parallel means wired one NEXT to the other.

Here%26#039;s some links to some example:

Good Luck...
What does it mean wired series?
multiple batteries are connected in series as in a flashlight, positive to negative. Laptop batteries work like this, having 12 1.2 volts cells in series, supplying 14.4 volts.

Batteries are wired in parallel to supply more current. They are connected positive to positive, negative to negative. This is what you do when jump starting a car, the voltage stays at 12 volts, but the current capacity (amperage) goes up.
Reply:series the voltage will add among the sources while the current is averaged.

parallel the voltage is averaged and the current is added.

Reply:The current travels through the load to the next causeing a voltage drop at each load. Or in the case of batteries they are wired from positive to negative to increase voltage. i.e. two 6 volt batteries wired in series to make 12 voltage.
